What does it mean to feel at home? As I prepare for a big change of home myself, I sit down with my dear friend and fellow sensitive human, Cassandra, to chat about this feeling that feels so deeply important, and yet seems to so easily elude many of us.

Cassandra is a fellow storyteller, writer, and bringer-together of humans. You can find her online at https://www.cassandrashea.com/ and follow along with her on Instagram @cassandraisluminous.

A Fresh Take: The Wonder of Being Sensitive

IMG_1069.jpg

It’s not always easy being a sensitive human in our world. Sometimes, it’s downright paralyzing.

But what if it could be easier? What if it could feel lovelier?

Welcome to the first episode of It’s the Cristina Show, hosted by me, Cristina — a very sensitive human.

In this episode, I share some of the things that make me cry (a hallmark of the very sensitive), and give a brief overview of how I learned to quiet my voice in the face of unpleasantness.

My guess is that if you’re sensitive, you too have learned to quiet your voice—maybe in just subtle ways, maybe in more noticeable ways, or maybe you’re just like me, and have learned to turn the volume down so low that remembering the sound of your voice has sometimes felt like a distant memory.

Wherever you are on your journey, my friend, my hope is that sharing my story and my voice with you will help you remember your own.

Sometimes all it takes is a few choice words, a string of letters spoken right to the heart, to remind us of what’s inside, of who we really are beneath the layers of curiosities we’ve layered atop ourselves.

Welcome ever so joyously to It’s the Cristina Show, may these minutes we spend together lead to life lived more fully, more vibrantly, and more you than you ever thought was possible before.
